Kim Reese
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Owner, One Change A Day Nutrition
My relationship with food began in 2014 when I learned I was prediabetic. Since that time I began seeing food with a new pair of lenses. I understand the difficulty changing years of eating patterns, so I dedicate my life to helping youth, teens and adults adopt small lifestyle changes that will lead to long-term health!
As a community nutritionist I focus on preventing illness and disease through food, rest, physical activity and community. Through culinary nutrition seminars, lectures and demonstrations I educate on the power plant-based meals have on our health, as well as how to use plants to prevent diseases like heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease and type 2 diabetes; or how to prevent complications of these diseases from occurring. Additionally, I am an advocate for supporting local farmers and growers. In the Resources tab you will find tools, including links to farmer’s markets, produce stands, orchards, opportunities to start your own farm, and activities to connect children with nature through gardening. Finally, if it’s one-on-one counseling you prefer, I can help you find out if your medical insurance covers nutrition services, as well as connect you with a nutritionist in network with your provider.
